Business Events Bid Fund Program

Managed by Tourism Australia’s specialist business unit, Business Events Australia, the Business Events Bid Fund Program (BFP) is a subvention fund designed to increase the conversion of new international business events for Australia through the offer of financial support at the critical bidding stage.

The Business Events Bid Fund Program is designed to deliver conversion of business in situations where Australia is bidding against international competitors for the right to host the business event.

Tourism Australia recognises that bidding for international business events is an ongoing undertaking and therefore there are no deadlines for submissions to the BFP. Please note however that the BFP is only available to support bids where a decision is made by 30 June 2027 and where the event is being held by 31 December 2032.

India Bid Fund Program

Managed by Tourism Australia’s specialist business unit, Business Events Australia, the India Bid Fund Program (BFP) is designed to increase the conversion of new international business events for Australia from India, through the offer of financial support at the critical bidding stage.
The BFP is designed to deliver conversion of business in situations where Australia is bidding against international competitors for the right to host the business event. The financial payment will be made post the event when the final numbers are achieved and must be spent on hard event costs in Australia.
The BFP is designed to support international business events being held entirely in Australia. No dual international destination events or virtual events will be considered, and should the travel dates change past May 2027 or minimum numbers not be achieved, Tourism Australia cannot confirm support will apply and reserves the right to withdraw funding.
